About Staffordshire Stitches
Where we began...
I began making bespoke clothes when living in London, with clients such as Jenny Agutter & Lorraine Chase, I made bespoke clothes perfectly to the body.
Working in London as studio manager of bridal designer Tammam I started hand making lace for veils and dresses, by creating the designs and hand sewing it onto tule.
I also worked for different fashion designers around the world who travelled to london & needed embroidery service including hand sewing designs, label and hemming scarfs.
After leaving London I decide to open Staffordshire Stitches using my experience to design and make embroidery hoops to brighten up the home!
I graduated from Birmingham City University with a degree in fashion and clothing, during this period I worked part time for The Couture Company helping to sew & pattern cut their bespoke alternative bridal wear.
After graduating I moved to london where I worked for a sustainable fashion company Tammam. Working as studio manager I co-created their 2016 collection as well as traveling across Europe running and organising catwalk shows promoting the collection at Fashion Weeks. During this period I made 20 bespoke brides maid dresses, 32 made to measure wedding dresses and many more couture garments for celebrities and more.
Happiness is handmade
We pride ourselves in the high end finish we bring to all of our embroidery. We use the best quality British cotton, bamboo hoops and high quality embroidery thread and brother machines, making our stitching last. All our hoops are backed with white felt to protect the thread.
We use high end couture sewing techniques to create our beautiful designs.
